Grand Prix 2012

The Grand Prix and MIRL fixtures have been selected for 2012 and they are:

  • Lasswade 10 miles (4 March 2012,Male  GP event only)
  • Smokies 10 miles ( 4 March 2012 Female GP event only)
  • Alloa Half Marathon (18 March 2012)
  • Grangemouth 10k (25 March 2012)
  • Heaven and Hell Half Marathon (8 April 2012)
  • Dunblane 7.5 miles (27 May 2012)
  • Brig Bash 5 miles ( 4 July 2012)
  • Black Rock 4.5 miles ( no date announced, will be a Friday in late June of July 2012)
  • Sheriffmuir 11 miles (no date announced, will be August 2012)
  • Knockhill 3.9 miles ( no date announced , will be a Wednesday in late August 2012)
  • Stirling 10k ( no date announced, will be September 2012)
  • Falkirk 5k Parkrun ( No date selected, will be October 2012)
  • Glen Clova Half Marathon ( no date announced, will be November 2012)
  • Marathon (Any full Marathon, UK or International)

Gartmorn 6 2012
Entries of the Gartmorn 6 2012 are now open.  The race is on 11 March 2012 and full details abd online entry are available at Entry Central . We hope you will able to join us for the 12th annual running of thie unique event. Please note, we have organised a change of Race HQ for the 2012 event as the Diageo facilities at Carsebridge that we have previously used are no longer available. This year, Race HQ will be at Sauchie Hall in Mar Place, Alloa.(Postcode FK10 3EA). Race registration and the famous post-race refreshments will take place here. The hall is less than half a mile from the Race Start, or a gentle 5 minute warm up.

Welcome To Wee County Harriers

Wee County Harriers is a running club based in Alloa.

We're a friendly club, train for all running distances and cater for all categories of runners.

Club training sessions are Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 PM. New members will be assigned a Running Buddy   for the first few weeks. 
Most of us also meet for a longer Sunday morning run at 9:00 AM.

All sessions are under the guidance of a quailified coach and start at the Ring Road Car Park (at the rear of the Spiers Centre) Alloa,
